American tourist, Frank (last name unknown), made over 2,000 US dollars by selling the Olympic pins online. He started only swapping pins with other pin fans. (last seen at the beach volleyball court on Aug. 17th) After he puts up some pins online, the interests wereoverwhelming, and he started selling those he doesn't need, and made a fortune out of them.

Yang Qi, Shi Jianyun, 2 sixth-grade pupils in Yunnan Province (弥勒县虹溪镇东门小学), committed suicide by taking poison, because of the physical punishment from the teachers in school. The People's Court of Yunnan Province settled a deal of 56, 000 RMB payment from the school to the victims' families.
